Minna Stenvall received her ballet education at the Dance Institute of Helsinki and at the Ballet School of the Finnish National Opera and Ballet. Additionally, she studied in Paris with Raymond Franchetti, Attilio Labis, Gilbert Mayer et Jacqueline Fynnayert. After having danced with the Finnish National Ballet and as a freelance dancer, she started her pedagogical studies in France, Diplôme d’État de professeur de danse, option Classique and became a member of the A.F.M.D.C, Association Française des Maîtres de Danse Classique. She also attended the pedagogical courses organized by the association, in which she received classes by the teachers of the Paris Opera. In 2007, while already teaching she graduated from the Theatre Academy of Helsinki’s Department of Pedagogy, with a degree in Master of Arts.
Minna has been teaching at the Ballet School of the Finnish National Opera and Ballet since 2009, before which she was teaching at the Dance Institute of Helsinki. She has also been teaching ballet and barre à terre technique at “Kuopio tanssii ja soi” International Dance Festival frequently.
Minna’s passion is to teach ballet and continuously develop in that field. That is why she has regularly been attending different ballet seminars as well as been visiting many different ballet schools, like Paris Opera Ballet School, Académie Princesse Grace, English National Ballet School, le Pôle National Supérieur de danse Rosella Hightower etc.
